Eclipse says EASA OK on track

Eclipse Aviation expects to obtain EASA certification of the Eclipse 500 this year, and according to an EASA spokeswoman, certification work on the very light jet is
“ongoing.” Eclipse applied for EASA certification of the EA-500 in February 2003, she told AIN, and “EASA type-certification is expected for this year given that the manufacturer implements all of the agency’s requirements. Subject to the showing of compliance with EASA requirements, there are no significant obstacles to the certification of the EA-500.”
