China's Ameco Aviation college expands

Ameco Beijing held a cornerstone-laying ceremony for the expansion project of its Ameco Aviation College (AAC). Ameco Beijing CEO Chia Weixi and general manager Andreas Meisel were on hand, as were leaders from CAAC, Air China, construction and quality supervision companies.

Meisel said, “With the growth of China’s aviation industry, AAC needs to expand its training capacity and quality to foster more professionals for the development of the aviation industry. We think it is worth investing 50 million yuan in the training center expansion as we can get valuable returns like qualified mechanics through the investment.” The 80,300-sq-ft addition will provide practical laboratory instructional space.
