Content Body

A new company called Kaz Aviation launched its FBO expansion plan with the purchase for $2.3 million of all the assets of Attractions Jet Center at Kissimmee Gateway Airport in Kissimmee, Fla. “We are looking for undiscovered diamonds,” said Steve Bowlin, vice president of FBO Operations. Kaz Aviation, headquartered in Nashville, Tenn., is planning to buy, during the next 10 years, 10 more FBOs at smaller airports that don’t get a lot of attention, according to a company spokeswoman. At Kissimmee, Kaz is planning to refurbish the former Attractions Jet Center FBO facilities. The airport continues to grow and tallied record fuel sales last year, to 2,348,601 gallons, which is 45,000 more than in 2006. Aircraft operations have also climbed, to 169,022, a 9.8-percent increase over 2006, likely aided by installation of a new ILS in January 2007.
