In The Works: Eviation EV-20

The latest iteration of what was the Visionaire Vantage single-engine jet still has a pulse, although progress has slowed considerably. The twin-engine EV-20 design is now in the hands of engineering students at Iowa State University. The university signed a memorandum of understanding with Eviation in December, calling for student engineers to complete the EV-20 design, according to Tom Shih, chairman of the Department of Aerospace Engineering. Eviation and Iowa State also signed a confidentiality agreement and Eviation provided all of the hardware that it had on hand for the students to work with. “Basically, we are just starting,” Shih told AIN in January.
