Plenty of A-list celebrities fly through Farnborough, but the British airport is set to get a serious dusting of Hollywood glitz when it features in the new James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, which is set for release in November. During January, TAG Aviation’s Farnborough facilities were used for two days of filming that saw several chartered business jets brought in to be used in action sequences. It is not yet clear exactly what the aviation angle will be in the new 007 film.
Farnborough Airport is increasingly being booked as a venue for filming and for high-profile product launches. This is part of TAG’s marketing strategy of generating new revenue streams as it contends with the prospect of hitting its movement limit this year.
