Nav Canada officially opened a new ATC tower at Kelowna International Airport in British Columbia. The facility has better visibility and uses the latest technology, according to Nav Canada. The new tower is located on the east side of the airfield, directly across from the terminal. At a height of 70 ft, the new tower provides enhanced “line of sight for the controllers.” The former tower, on top of the terminal building, will become the airport’s new emergency coordination center.
