Rockwell Collins Completes Airshow Acquisition

With the finalization of the deal to acquire Tustin, Calif. IFE specialist Airshow, Rockwell Collins has effectively expanded its cabin electronics line to include a full complement of products, including a popular line of cabin moving maps and a family of satellite TV products. Collins plans to highlight the acquisition at this month’s NBAA Convention, where it will tout Airshow’s capabilities as a major supplier of integrated cabin electronics systems for business and commercial aircraft, including cabin environmental controls, passenger information and entertainment, business support systems, network capabilities and passenger flight information systems. The merger, said a Collins spokesman, will expand the avionics maker’s product line to create “integrated solutions that bridge the flight deck and aircraft cabin."
