12-5/95K compliance deadlines are December 1

The Transportation Security Administration’s compliance deadline is December 1 on new security requirements for on-demand air-taxi operators of aircraft with an mtow of 12,500 lb or more. The TSA’s final Twelve-Five Standard Security Program (TFSSP) was scheduled to be issued on October 31. December 1 is also the deadline for on-demand operators of the Bombardier Global Express, Airbus Corporate Jetliner, Boeing Business Jet and all other private charter aircraft with an mtow of 95,000 lb or more to comply with new airline-like security rules. At press time the TSA was considering increasing the threshold mtow to 100,000 lb or exempting the Global Express.
