Don Judy, a mechanic for Addison (Texas) Airport-based DFW Aero Mechanix, was killed last month when the landing gear of a King Air 200 apparently collapsed and the airplane fell on him. According to published reports, the airplane, owned by King Aviation of Dallas, landed at Addison Airport after circling for an hour to burn fuel because its indicators showed that the landing gear wasn’t locked in place. After the King Air landed safely, Judy was examining the airplane from underneath when the gear apparently collapsed.
