Seattle to Jeddah nonstop: BBJ's longest flight

A recently delivered Boeing Business Jet on April 7 flew the farthest distance yet for a BBJ: 6,854 nm, from Seattle to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 14 hr 12 min. Boeing Business Jets said the airplane landed with 5,900 lb of fuel, about 1 hr 30 min of endurance. Total flight time was helped by an average tailwind of 45 kt. In addition to its long flight, this is the first BBJ to be certified under FAR Part 135, according to the company. Owned by BBJ One and operated by BBJ Charters, this BBJ is the 46th to enter service. Its 12,500-lb interior was completed by Bentonville, Ark.-based Ozark Aircraft Systems.
