Completions and Refurbishments: CRJ200 VIP conversion continues

As demand continues to grow for executive conversions of the Bombardier CRJ200 regional airliner, cabin refurbishment specialist MJet of Montreal recently began work on its first CRJ200. The conversion will include the Elisen Elite 500 auxiliary fuel system, which meets the latest FAA and EASA requirements, including SFAR 88. With the fuel system installed, MJet is transforming the 50-seat airliner into a 15-seat business jet for charter operator Corpac Canada of Calgary. MJet began design work on the Corpac jet in April and delivery is scheduled for January. The Elisen Elite auxiliary fuel system will boost fuel capacity by 4,500 pounds and extend the airplane’s max range to just over 2,100 nm. Last month, using an 18-passenger reconfigured CRJ200 already in service, Corpac began “nonstop scheduled jet service between Calgary and Toronto, targeting business travelers who call for convenience, flexibility and comfort…with
a unique pre-paid trust arrangement.”
