Motorflug Baden-Baden signed an agreement to be acquired by Eurocopter Deutschland. The German company specializes in helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul at bases in Baden-Baden, Rheinmünster and Schönhagen, near Berlin. The facility will become an integral part of Eurocopter’s service and support business and will complement Eurocopter’s maintenance, repair and overhaul capabilities in the civil helicopter market.
Founded in 1955, Motorflug was the first service provider for helicopters in Germany and offers a wide spectrum of services covering helicopter airframes, engines, components, instruments and avionics.
The acquisition is a continuation of a history of cooperation that began in 1976 when Motorflug was approved as an authorized service center for MBB. The company was also approved as a service center for Aerospatiale’s models in 1984.
