Content Body

Described as a family of services to be launched this year for passenger news, moving map and cached Web content, Honeywell’s ePaxx concept is being designed to bridge the gap between traditional in-flight entertainment products and the company’s Inflightmail e-mail service, now flying aboard a customer Challenger 604 and Global Express. Don Shell, manager for Honeywell Airborne Cabin Services, said an onboard computer file server with Ethernet hub would support ePaxx. When officially launched, the service will be merged with Inflightmail, as well as other services in the future, such as Internet access, as these are developed.
