BMW designing interiors for PC-12s

Pilatus Aircraft of Broomfield, Colo., has commissioned BMW DesignWorks USA of Southern California to develop nine identically priced interior designs for the $3.3 million (typically equipped) PC-12 turboprop single. Each design offers a combination of woods, fabrics, leather, carpeting and plating intended to reflect the “modern, progressive trends” of luxury automobile interiors. Meanwhile, Pilatus recently delivered the 400th PC-12 since the aircraft entered service in 1994. This milestone aircraft went to Neil Kornswiet, the president of a home mortgage company.
