Avionics Update: FlightMax Entegra cockpit selected for Adam A500

Adam Aircraft of Englewood, Colo., will equip the in-development Adam A500 piston twin with Avidyne’s FlightMax Entegra integrated flight deck. Consisting of two 10.4-inch-diagonal, high-resolution displays as pilot and copilot primary flight displays, each side has its own integrated air-data and attitude-heading reference system (ADAHRS). The Entegra PFD presents standard flight instrumentation, including an electronic attitude direction indicator (EADI), electronic horizontal situation indicator (EHSI), altitude, airspeed and vertical speed. “We are very pleased to offer the FlightMax Entegra PFD on the Adam A500,” said Rick Adam, CEO of Adam Aircraft. “We performed extensive analysis of new and emerging flight-deck systems, and Avidyne’s Entegra was our top choice.” Entegra is the glass cockpit selected for a number of piston aircraft, including the Cirrus SR22, the first certified with the avionics package.
