New Hangar under construction at Republic

The Northeastern group of companies, which bills itself as a “specialty services operator” because it isn’t an FBO (no fuel service), is building a new hangar at Republic Airport in Farmingdale, N.Y. The most recent addition was a $4 million, 35,000-sq-ft hangar, and next year the company’s fourth hangar should open, adding another 35,000 sq ft of hangar and 17,500 sq ft of office and shop space to Northeastern’s 16-acre complex. Northeastern consists of three companies: the charter/management division Northeastern Aviation, maintenance division SMC Aviation and hangar and ground support company Northeastern Air Management.
