Dassault revises2008 Delivery plans

Dassault Aviation late last month downgraded its 2008 delivery planning for Falcons, citing new FAA “constraints.” The manufacturer said the delivery rate increase that was expected for the fourth quarter will not be met, as some deliveries have been postponed to the first quarter. A Dassault spokesman told AIN that the FAA has begun enforcing regulations in a stricter way after it was accused of insufficient oversight with Southwest Airlines earlier last year. The bottom line is that revenues last year were expected to be 10 percent below 2007’s.
