The aircraft achieved FAA certification on May 30, and EASA certification is expected to be complete early this year. Cessna has taken orders for more than 200 of the midsize XLS upgrade, which features the Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite and P&WC electronically controlled (fadec) engines.
