By August next year, Duncan Aviation will have a new maintenance facility in Provo, Utah, in a 15,000-sq-ft hangar leased from Million Air Provo. Duncan Aviation had planned to build a new facility in Provo, but, said chairman Todd Duncan, “This lease agreement allows Duncan Aviation to establish a maintenance service presence in Provo by August 2010 without the expense of building a new hangar facility right now.” Duncan Aviation is still hoping to build a full-service nose-to-tail support facility in Provo, he added. “We will evaluate the market and the economy at least quarterly and will begin preparation for a larger expansion as soon as we believe the timing to be correct.” Once the leased facility opens, Duncan Aviation will offer airframe and avionics support with a team of 15 to 20 personnel. Duncan Aviation currently operates two major service centers in Lincoln, Neb., and Battle Creek, Mich., as well as 20 satellite avionics facilities.
