Precision Turbines Teams with Avatas Aerospace

Avatas Aerospace has signed an agreement with Precision Turbines to allow the latter to offer maintenance, repair and overhaul services for Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A turboprop engines. Precision Turbines provides a variety of products and services for the Pratt & Whitney Canada JT15D, PW100 and PT6A and the Rolls-Royce T56. The company offers half-life, overhauled and new engines as well as OEM and PMA parts. “The agreement is in line with our growth plans as we seek new avenues to broaden our reach and increase revenue and market share,” said Joe Kolo, Avatas vice president of sales and marketing. “It is our goal to secure new and incremental PT6A business with our alternative repair and overhaul service.” Avatas is targeting PT6A civilian applications in the Beech King Air, Piper Cheyenne and Cessna Conquest I as well as military applications in the Beech C-12 and T-34 and Pilatus PC-9 and RC-12.
