CharterX Wyvern has launched CharterX Europe, a Web site aimed at European charter brokers and operators, customized with region-specific trip-booking opportunities, empty legs and industry news.

“Recently, we have seen a marked increase in traffic and customer activity originating from Europe,” said Jim Betlyon, CEO of CharterX Wyvern. “Given the importance of this region in the worldwide market for air charter services, customizing our marketplace to better accommodate our European audience is a worthwhile investment. We look forward to expanding our network to include more European operators and brokers by giving them access to region-specific features and market information at a significant discount to current European marketplace solutions.”

According to the company, the CharterX network processes more than 5,000 charter trip requests each day and its Web site averages more than 12,000 unique visitors each month. Some 1,200 charter companies use CharterX as their primary platform to buy and sell lift, the company claims.

In the coming months, Trenton, New Jersey-based CharterX (Booth No. 679) plans to hire a European sales manager and open a European office. In support of its launch, CharterX Europe will be offering all new European operator and broker customers free trials followed by promotional membership packages.
