Italy’s Esperia Orders AgustaWestland Twin

Esperia Aviation Services, based at Rome Urbe downtown airport, has ordered one AgustaWestland AW109E Grand. Configured with six seats in the cabin, the helicopter will be used for executive passenger transport. Last year, AgustaWestland and Esperia signed an agreement to establish “the first helicopter hub in Italy” at Rome Urbe. AgustaWestland is also building a maintenance center there. Meanwhile,
Alitalica is setting up an FBO and will offer corporate helicopter management services. The two partners are planning “similar initiatives in other parts of Italy.” Esperia is the new brand name for Alitalica.
