Hawker Beechcraft has developed a maintenance training program, in partnership with FlightSafety International, for its product lines. The new MxPro program incorporates both academic and hands-on training. It immerses technicians in a learning environment specifically designed to replicate real-life service issues and events. Aircraft are used to reinforce classroom material, with an interactive computer 3-D model for in-depth operational and maintenance tasks, further enhancing the training experience. Factory-owned Hawker Beechcraft Services maintenance centers are requiring additional training beyond the initial MxPro requirement for their technicians. Called MxPro Plus, the enhanced program provides supplementary task-oriented training. The MxPro program will launch with the Hawker 900XP, followed by the Hawker 4000. Other platforms will be added in support of the Hawker Beechcraft product lines. Training will primarily take place in Wichita, Kan., at FlightSafety’s maintenance training center scheduled to be completed later this year. FlightSafety is working with regulatory agencies around the world to gain certification of the MxPro program so the training will be available to technicians worldwide.
