Sikorsky Aerospace Services has opened a regional parts stocking facility with Times Aerospace Korea at Gimpo Aerospace Industrial Complex in Gimpo City, Gyongg-Do, South Korea.
Times Aerospace Korea built the complex near Incheon and Gimpo International Airports with the purpose of providing service and support facilities for the Asian aerospace industry.
The facility will receive, stock and ship parts to support the VX/H-92 helicopters flown by the South Korean Air Force and to support other Sikorsky customers in the region operating the S-61, S-76 and S-92. Plans call for eventually stocking parts to support fixed-wing aircraft owned and operated in the region by customers of Derco Aerospace, a Sikorsky Aerospace Services company.
