Learjet loses gear in landing mishap

Bombardier Learjet 35, Ciudad Victoria, Mexico, Feb. 5, 2009–The jet lost control upon landing at Ciudad Victoria Airport. After touchdown, the aircraft slid off the runway onto the grass and came to rest upright after a 180-degree left turn. The landing gear collapsed, resulting in damage to the landing gear structural supports. Neither of the two crew-members was injured. Mexico’s civil aviation authorities are investigating the accident.
