Aerospace Filtration Systems is partnering with Metro Aviation to develop
a new Eurocopter EC 135 inlet barrier filter (IBF) system. The companies expect STC approval early next year. The new IBF features new long-life filter assemblies that internally mount to the existing EC 135 cowlings and do not produce additional drag or any reduction in internal component cooling margins. Metro has ordered the first five kits for its fleet and for its completion customers.
