San Diego project might cause taxi delays

San Diego International Airport has begun a major reconstruction project on Taxiway Charlie, which will affect access to the airport’s sole FBO, Landmark Aviation. According to Mark Hander in the airport’s operations office, “During the construction period [September 2009 to April 2010], general aviation/corporate aircraft may experience taxi delays to the FBO ramp along with limited long-term aircraft parking. It is highly recommended that general aviation/corporate pilots make advance contact with the local FBO [Landmark Aviation at (619) 298-7704] for aircraft parking availability and scheduled arrival times.”
