The FAA is still investigating what caused an Aruban-registered Airbus A319 Corporate Jetliner to lose its emergency slide shortly after takeoff from Dallas Love Field last month. The privately owned business jet was on a routine maintenance-related test flight out of StandardAero’s Associated Air Center. According to initial reports, both the emergency slide and door fell off the aircraft. “There was no door involved; it was the panels covering the slide that separated and fell off right after takeoff. There were no injuries and the aircraft returned to the airport safely,” a spokesman for StandardAero told AIN. StandardAero declined to identify the owner of the aircraft.
