Business aircraft operators have a new choice in the Baltimore/Washington area now that Skytech has opened its 10,000-sq-ft service facility. According to John Foster, the company’s president, the facility is “highly renovated” and retains only the pre-existing cement floor and steel substructure. “Everything else is new, including an attached 7,000-square-foot service building that houses the avionics department, back shops for parts, sheet metal work, battery rooms, aircraft interior storage, service offices and employee locker rooms/lounge.” The facility is located on Carroll County Regional Airport (DMW).
Skytech has represented Piper aircraft since 1980, delivering nearly 300 PA-46s. The Cessna Caravan has been a mainstay in Skytech’s offerings since 1990. The company has also been a dealer of the Pilatus PC-12 from the program’s inception. Skytech also offers an FBO with passenger and pilot lounge, weather briefing facility, conference room and pilot quiet room. The FBO includes two storage hangars totaling 20,000 sq ft and can accommodate jets the size of
a large Gulfstream.
