The southeast U.S. is West Star Aviation’s latest area of coverage. West Star Aviation of Columbia, S.C., slated to open in the first quarter of this year, will initially offer services for turbine aircraft with a max takeoff weight of less than 12,500 pounds, including the Citation 500, 525, 550, 560 and 650 series; Learjet 30 series, 40/45s, 55s and 60 series; Hawker 700 and 800 series; and Falcon 10/100 and 20-5.
The new facility is also an FAA-certified Part 145 repair station. According to
a West Star spokesman, the company partnered with the Columbia Metropolitan Airport Authority, the South Carolina Department of Commerce, Lexington County officials and the Central S.C. Alliance to bring its operations to the Columbia area.
