Touching Bases: Open House at Hobby’s 1940 Air Terminal

Houston Hobby Airport’s March 20 Wings & Wheels Open House is hosting Cessna Day and an AOPA-sponsored Let’s Go Flying! event. Local airplane and helicopter flight schools will highlight their pilot training programs at the event, to be held at the 1940 Air Terminal Museum. Admission is free for fly-in visitors. “Cessna Day has always been one of our most popular events,” said P.J. Gustafson, Wings & Wheels coordinator at The 1940 Air Terminal Museum. “We felt that it was a great event to combine with Let’s Go Flying! because of the excitement and energy of having so many pilots and aircraft owners around. Each one of the people here is a potential mentor for someone who wants to get into flying.”
