Jet Aviation’s U.S. charter division is now operating under its own Part 135 charter certificate as Jet Aviation Flight Services. Previously, aircraft managed by Jet Aviation in the U.S. were operated under Part 135 rules by a third-party air carrier, which currently is Priester Aviation. Jet Aviation will transition its two managed Gulfstream IVs from Priester to Jet Aviation Flight Services over the next 18 months, and will continue its strategic alliance with Priester until July 2011.
In other news, Jet Aviation Singapore received continuous airworthiness management organization approval, which serves to regulate the quality of work done on aircraft and applies to all Bermuda- and Cayman-registered aircraft.
