Second G250 enters llight-test program

With its maiden flight on March 24, a second Gulfstream G250 has entered the flight-test program for the super-midsize jet, designed and built in collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in Tel Aviv. S/N 2002 flew for 1 hour and 57 minutes on its initial flight, reaching an altitude of 20,000 feet and a speed of 195 knots. The first test article, S/N 2001, has logged more than 70 flight hours since it first flew in December, and has already reached its maximum certified speed and altitude–Mach 0.85 and 45,000 feet. Certification is scheduled for next year.
