Hawker Beechcraft King Air B200, St. Louis, Mo., Dec. 10, 2009–N411BL was substantially damaged at the end of a Part 135 night flight when it made an emergency gear-up landing at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. The ATP-rated pilot told the NTSB that he attempted to lower the landing gear while on final approach and received no response. After several failed attempts to cycle the gear, the pilot executed a missed approach while he attempted to extend the gear manually using the malfunction checklist, but again was unsuccessful. ATC confirmed the gear was not extended during several low passes beside the tower. After executing a gear-up landing, the pilot and the six passengers safely evacuated.

In the post-accident investigation the emergency gear engagement handle was found in the down (disengaged) position. When the handle was pulled up, rotated and locked in the engaged position, pumping the extension lever produced movement in the landing-gear torque shafts. Further examination showed the landing-gear motor circuit breaker under the cabin floor had popped. Once the circuit breaker was reset and electrical power was restored to the King Air, the gear was able to function both normally and with the manual systems.
