Content Body

Duncan Aviation of Lincoln, Neb., has released a white paper addressing common misperceptions and pitfalls inherent in preparing for an aircraft exterior paint refurbishment.

Titled “Paint, Maintenance & Aircraft Value,” the paper shares the knowledge of aircraft completion representations from Duncan’s Lincoln and Battle Creek, Mich. facilities.

Advice offered ranges from cleaning products to avoid to how to determine if the paint has been applied correctly. “A lot of operators judge the quality of a paint job by its gloss,” said George Bajo, completions sales representative for Duncan at Battle Creek. A better indicator is how the surface was prepared and the actual paint application process, he said.

For additional information on the white paper, contact Bajo at (269) 969-8462.
