Cessna Aircraft said it will bring the Honeywell Primus Elite avionics system to the Citation X starting next year. Based on the Citation X’s current Honeywell Primus 2000 avionics system, the five-panel Elite system will feature high-resolution LCD graphics capability permitting viewing of electronic approach charts and XM satellite weather data. Improved moving-map capability will depict geographical and political boundaries, airspace boundaries and airways, Cessna added. Future enhancements to Primus Elite will include synthetic-vision technology and enhanced maps. The Honeywell cockpit upgrade will also be offered through Cessna Citation service centers for in-service Citation Xs. Also new for the Citation X starting next year will be cabin touchscreen control panels, MP3-player inputs, an improved sound system, updated Airshow display imagery and dual Blu-ray players with an HD monitor mounted in the forward closet.
