Bell Helicopter announced an upgrade package for its 412EP that features more powerful Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6T-9 engines which will yield a 15 percent power increase, and glass-panel avionics akin to those in the new 429 light twin. The STC ­project is expected to be approved this year and will be available for customers beginning next year on all new 412EPs and as a retrofit package.
