Utah Highway Patrol First Eurocopter AS350 Sim Graduates

The Utah Highway Patrol Aero Bureau is the first customer to use American Eurocopter’s new integrated AS350 Level B crew simulator for structured training. Capt. Steve Rugg called the new simulator “an excellent training tool” that allows the practice of “actual mission scenarios” with pilots and crew. The new simulator can be configured for either the AS350 B2 or B3 and is equipped with a full-motion platform and a full cabin complete with all equipment required for crew resource management, NVG, helicopter EMS and airborne law enforcement training. It includes controls for Flir and slaved searchlight training as well.
