CRS Jet Spares Expanding Presence in Asia

CRS Jet Spares will be establishing a footprint in Asia over the coming year. “We have been involved in providing our services to the Asia region for a long time and now believe the timing is right to establish a footprint in the region,” said Armando Leighton, Jr, CRS Jet Spares founder and CEO. According to Leighton, the plan will be developed over the next 12 months and implemented in phases. Initially the company will position support items for the Gulfstream IV, V, G450 and G550; Hawker; Challengers; Global Express; Learjets; and Falcons. “We see Asia as a significant market in the next five to 10 years so we want to establish a permanent presence there now. Today, new aircraft under warranty are moving into the area. As those aircraft mature and go out of warranty the operators will want to save on parts,” Leighton told AIN. CRS Jet Spares is currently in discussions with potential partners in Hong Kong, though Leighton continues to look at the exact location with an open mind. “Strategic placement is critical,” he said. “Still, we feel Hong Kong is a good opportunity. It’s a gateway to China and in general a good location.”
