Pilatus Reveals It’s Working on New Aircraft

Pilatus is developing a new civil aircraft that has been designated the PC-24, according to its 2010 annual report. Not much is known about the new model, including whether it’s a turboprop or jet, and the Swiss manufacturer won’t reveal more until next year. If financial numbers are any indication, research and development spending grew by 20 percent between 2009 and 2010, to CHF49 million ($55 million). Last year, Pilatus delivered 79 PC-12 turboprop singles worth a total of CHF340 million ($380 million).
