Aircraft maintenance provider U.S. Aviation has expanded its services at Denton Municipal Airport (DTO) with the opening of a new FBO in April. The facility, which is open seven days a week from 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m., is located near the company’s Part 145 maintenance complex and offers a pilot lounge, showers, quiet room and flight planning room, along with two large audiovisual-equipped conference rooms, concierge service and crew courtesy vehicles as well as onsite rental cars. In an effort to improve its environmental responsibility, the company recently finished installing a pair of solar panel arrays on the roof of two of its maintenance hangars. According to the company, the panels will supply approximately half of the electrical needs on a sunny day for the nearly 29,000-sq-ft hangars. Company president Jeff Soules said the goal for the business is to become totally independent in filling its own energy needs.
