Content Body

Texas-based Tac Air has purchased the former Executive Beechcraft facilities at Spirit of St. Louis Airport (SUS) from Signature Flight Support. Included in the purchase are two hangars, giving the complex more than 150,000 sq ft of available hangar space. The service provider has agreed to partner with West Star Aviation, which will provide aircraft maintenance at the facility, occupying some of the newly acquired space. Tac Air began operations at the airport in 2009 when it purchased the assets of the FBO from Jet Direct.

The company also completed more than $1 million in renovations to its executive terminal at the airport, including a covered passenger drop-off, a new pilot sleep room and expanded crew lounge, additional passenger lounges, updated conference and flight-planning rooms and the addition of high definition throughout the building.
