Extra Aircraft’s attempt to build an assembly facility in Montrose, Colo., may have failed, but that has not stopped the company from delivering German-registered Extra 500 turboprop singles in the U.S. Extra president Errol Bader said the company has achieved EASA certification and expects FAA certification “shortly.” He also said the company is looking at new assembly facilities in Prescott, Ariz.; Ogden, Utah; and Pueblo, Colo., and will make a decision soon.
