In a departure from its earlier policy of doing all Lineage 1000 cabin completion work in-house, Brazilian OEM Embraer is now offering a green variant of the executive version of its E190 regional jet that will allow owners to select an independent completion center.
Embraer has already delivered nine Lineage 1000s from its completion facilities in São José dos Campos. A spokesman declined to identify when the first green aircraft will be delivered.
Embraer will be providing buyers who prefer to have their Lineage 1000 outfitted elsewhere with a list of “approved” centers and will supply those facilities with engineering packages of initial engineering information.
Embraer will announce the list price for a green Lineage 1000 at the NBAA Convention in Las Vegas in mid-October. The list price for a Lineage as outfitted by Embraer is $50.48 million, for an interior by Embraer that is modular in concept, based on five cabin zones, and allows what the OEM describes as “hundreds” of cabin configurations.
