Garmin Halts 500W/530W Production

Garmin stopped manufacture of the GNS 530W and GPS 500W navigators on November 30, although it plans to continue making the GNS 430W, 420W and GPS 400W through the first half of next year. According to Garmin, the company “will continue supporting the GNS series with repair services and maintenance software releases for many years to come.” Garmin now plans for its new touchscreen GTN series to replace the GNS units.
