Chromalloy Windsor Gets Japan Approval
Subject Area
Content Body

The Japanese Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) has given Chromalloy’s Windsor, Conn. engine component repair station Approved Organization Exposition certification. The AOE certificate allows Chromalloy to provide component repairs, including FAA-approved designated engineering representative (DER) repairs.

The certificates were issued in accordance with the 2009 Japan Bilateral Aviation Safety Agreement (BASA).

“This is the fourth JCAB certificate Chromalloy has received, which is unparalleled in the component repair industry,” said Bruce Johnson, vice president for engineering. “We have received JCAB approval of our repair stations at Arizona, Nevada, San Antonio and now Connecticut.”

Chromalloy is working to achieve similar JCAB approvals of other facilities. The company claims to be the first service provider of aircraft engine component repairs to receive the certificates since the 2009 U.S.-Japan BASA took effect.
