Bombardier To Establish Singapore MRO
Subject Area
Content Body

Bombardier Aerospace will open a company-owned and -operated service center in Singapore next year. “Singapore has the advantage of being a strategic location; it is more central in the Asia Pacific region than Hong Kong. Also in its favor, it has a skilled workforce in place and there is a longstanding aerospace presence at Seletar Airport,” a spokesman for Bombardier told AIN.

The company did not disclose the size of the facility or the amount of the investment, but the spokesman said the facility will be large enough to accommodate every aircraft in Bombardier’s product line.

“The new service center will form the cornerstone of Bombardier’s customer services in the Asia-Pacific region, ensuring customers will have broader access to OEM-backed service,” he said. The Singapore facility will be the second service center Bombardier operates outside North America (the other is at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport), bringing the total number to 10 worldwide. It will be capable of performing a variety of light to heavy maintenance tasks on all Bombardier Learjets, Challengers and Globals. Bombardier’s Singapore Regional Support Office, which opened late last year, will work in conjunction with the new service center as well as the company’s current Singapore parts depot.
