Embraer Plans Big Service Center in Brazil
Subject Area
Content Body

With more than 100 of its executive jets operating in Brazil, Embraer has signed an agreement with the State of São Paulo that will see a modern service center established at Bertram Luiz Leupolz Airport in Sorocaba, approximately 55 miles from São Paulo. With an estimated investment of $25 million during the first five years of the project, the facility will generate up to 250 direct jobs.

A spokesperson for Embraer said this investment, and work to be carried out at the airport by the state government, will establish Sorocaba as one of the country’s executive aviation hubs. The new service center will cover 215,000 sq ft and will have a hangar five times as large as the center located at Embraer’s headquarters in São José dos Campos. It will feature hangars, VIP lounges, customer meeting rooms, administrative offices and facilities offering maintenance, repair, aircraft storage and FBO services.

Embraer’s executive jet global support network consists of 60 owned or authorized service centers.
