Navtech To Supply e-Charts for GlobalNavSource iPad EFB

Flight operations software and services developer Navtech formed a partnership with GlobalNavSource to provide Navtech iCharts and iCharts Enroute via GlobalNavSource’s iPad electronic flight bag platform. The move, Navtech said, supports paperless operations and gives pilots broader access to charts, plates, weather and other data. Meanwhile, GlobalNavSource, which also does iPad testing and certification for aviation, announced that the new third-generation iPad has successfully passed the rapid decompression test, one of the FAA requirements for pilots seeking to use iPads in lieu of paper charts.
