Bombardier Celebrates Delivery of First Global 5000 with Vision Flight Deck

Bombardier is holding a delivery ceremony at its Montreal, Canada headquarters today to celebrate entry into service of its first Global 5000 jet equipped with the Global Vision flight deck.

Global Vision, which is based on a Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics system, features three large LCD cockpit displays as well as an LCD-based head-up display. Both the pilot flight displays and the head-up display offer synthetic vision, which shows an outside view of the terrain in any weather condition.

Global Vision for the Global 5000 also includes triple flight management systems, redundant cursor control panels and keyboards, automatic weather radar (no need to input tilt or gain), checklists linked to caution and advisory messages, electronic charts linked to the flight management system and electronic manuals.
